In this article we’ll be taking a look at:
- Why going live doesn’t always mean franchisee adoption
- How to get staff and franchisees to buy into the platform
- Why measuring QSR-level results helps build confidence
- How early success can encourage wider network adoption
The platform is integrated. The menus are loaded. Every QSR has its login details. Head office has announced that the network is live. But there’s a significant problem. Why are only a handful of franchisees actively using it?
This is a common occurrence and challenge with QSR technology. Going live and achieving adoption are not the same thing. A platform can be technically available but…
- Staff continue using old processes
- Managers switch the platform off during busy periods
- Franchisees do little to promote the channel.
The problem is rarely solved with another training manual or launch email. So, in essence, what franchisees need to understand is what the platform will do for their QSR. Similarly, staff need to know how it fits into a busy shift. And finally, managers need clear targets, and early adopters need support to demonstrate real results. This means the rollout needs to focus on adoption, not just activation.

Start by identifying QSRs that are willing and able to lead the way. Give them clear goals, practical training and close support. Then measure what happens at QSR level itself. Look at orders, sales, uptime, acceptance and repeat customers. The results from these early adopters can become powerful proof of success. A franchisee is often more likely to believe another QSR owner who says, “Wow! This worked for my store,” than a presentation from Head Office. Word of mouth works - always has, always will!
YUMBI can help make this progress visible through onboarding and Insight, giving every franchisor a clearer view of QSR-level performance and where support is needed.
The goal is not to force every QSR to change overnight. It is to prove the model, build confidence, share success and then scale what works.

A digital rollout is not complete when the technology goes live. It is complete when QSR behaviour changes, customers use the channel and the network can demonstrate commercial value. Let’s do this together!
